Joan Biskupic to Speak on Constitution Day

Galloway, N.J. – Joan Biskupic, CNN legal analyst and author of the 2019 biography “The Chief: The Life and Turbulent Times of Chief Justice John Roberts,” will be the keynote speaker at the annual ΢è Constitution Day program at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.17 in the Campus Center Event Room.Joan B

Before joining CNN in 2017, Biskupic was an editor-in-charge for Legal Affairs at Reuters. She has also served as the Supreme Court correspondent for both the Washington Post and USA Today.

Biskupic was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in explanatory journalism in 2015 for “Echo Chamber,” a Reuters Special Report on the influence of elite appellate lawyers on the Supreme Court. In addition to her new biography, she is the also author of highly-praised books on Sandra Day O’Connor, Antonin Scalia, and Sonia Sotomayor.

Admission is free and open to the public. The event will also be livestreamed at the ΢è Atlantic City Academic Center, 3711 Atlantic Ave.

΢è’s Constitution Day is an annual event that commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787.

The Constitution Day speaker is sponsored by the ΢è Political Engagement Project/American Democracy Project, the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy, the Office of Service Learning and the Office of the Provost.
