About the Dean's Student Leadership Board
The Dean's Student Leadership Board is a selected committee made up of Majors from the School of Arts and Humanities' Academic Programs. It is an opportunity for students to gain administrative and leadership skills, participate in career mentoring opportunities, and be the voice for students in ARHU.
Students who are invited to participate on the Dean's Student Leadership Board will fulfill leadership roles at ARHU related events, learn from professionals within ARHU and the Arts and Humanities field, and prepare to be a leader in their field of study/industry following graduation.
Application & Interview Process

Application
Students must complete the Dean's Student Leadership Board application by the deadline listed above.

Interview (by invitation only)
Applications will be reviewed within two weeks following the application deadline. Interviews will occur the week following the application review on an invitation basis. Interview invites will be sent via email and recipients will be asked to respond within 48 hours.

Accept seat on DSLB
If offered a seat on the Dean's Student Leadership Board, accept the offer and mark your calendar with the upcoming meeting dates.
- Basic Information. Name, contact information, and demographics.
- One faculty/staff reference. One additional faculty/staff reference may be added, but is not necessary.
- Personal Statement. How does having a background in the arts and humanities help you to play a role in leadership? Maximum of 400 words.
- Academic Resume. This resume can include, but is not limited to, academic standing, extra-curricular activities, other leadership roles on campus, work experience (on and off campus), skills and/or interests. Please include your current GPA (this will be verified during the application review).
Applications are evaluated based on the Dean's Student Leadership Board application rubric.
Once offered and accepted a seat on the Dean's Student Leadership Board, students may remain on the board until graduation, with the exception of extenuating circumstances.
Meet the Members

Abby Crawley is a rising senior at ΢ÃÜè majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations. A transfer student, she earned her associate degree in Communication Arts from Rowan College at Burlington County. She has completed five internships, most recently with NASA’s Communications department, gaining hands-on experience in media, social campaigns, public engagement, and crisis communications. Abby is passionate about public relations and hopes to become a PR representative for NASA in Washington, D.C. In her free time, she enjoys trying new coffee spots, exercising, and traveling, always looking for new experiences and inspiration through storytelling.

Jecce Harriott (he/him) is a junior at ΢ÃÜè majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in PR & Advertising, and minors in Cannabis Studies and Writing. Jecce is currently the President of the Pride Alliance, the Marketing Officer for the College Democrats, and a writer for The Stockton Argo. Jecce is passionate about advocacy, creative communication, and building inclusive spaces. Whether he’s organizing events or writing articles, Jecce loves finding ways to connect with people and share stories that matter.

Katelin Keane is a Dance major with a concentration in Studio Operations. After graduation, Katelin hopes to start her own dance company as well as create a safe space for Atlantic City artists of all fields to find community and create. She is passionate about supporting the arts, and she believes they have the power to bring people together and create meaningful change. Outside of school, Katelin runs her own photography business and volunteers at the Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point, NJ.

As a senior majoring in Communication Studies, Gaby Marroquin brings together a deep-rooted foundation in both Journalism and Public Relations, specializing in crafting narratives that engage, inform, and inspire audiences across local and international landscapes. As a first-generation American and a former international exchange student, Gaby has seen how important adapting to globalization can be in the modern world. Driven by a passion for connecting people and ideas across borders, she is always seeking new opportunities to leverage her skills in international communication and help organizations build strong, meaningful relationships on a global scale.

Abbygale Mooney is a Communication Studies Major with three minors. This past spring, Abbygale had the opportunity to participate in one of ΢ÃÜè’s exchange programs, spending the semester in Agia Paraskevi, Greece! As someone who loves to travel, the experience was unforgettable and deeply inspiring. It sparked new dreams and ambitions that Abbygale is eager to pursue. Abbygale is excited to bring this perspective back to Stockton and contribute to the ARHU community through the DSLB. She is looking forward to the Fall 2025 semester. In her free time, Abbygale likes reading and cooking!

Jackson O’Brien (he/him) is heading into his senior year, majoring in dance with a concentration in studio operations. He is a proud and prominent member of the Stockton Dance Company, as well as the nationally-ranked ΢ÃÜè Dance Team.

Amanda Rogers is a Music Education major with minors in both Childhood Studies and Disability Studies here at Stockton. She is involved in numerous musical ensembles and clubs on campus. Amanda has been playing the flute since she was 9 years old, which is where her love and passion for the arts originated. With this passion, she strives to become a music teacher where she will help future students foster a love of the arts, and she hopes to guide students to develop an appreciation of how the arts and humanities can benefit a community.

Diane Soriano is a first-generation college student majoring in Language and Culture Studies while pursuing a K–12 education certification. Passionate about making the most of my educational journey, Diane actively seeks opportunities that help her grow and give back to her community. Diane is excited to serve on the Arts and Humanities Dean’s Student Leadership Board, and separately, to represent her school as an Admission Ambassador—two roles that allow her to support and connect with others in meaningful ways.

Marliza Thomas is a major in Language and Culture Studies and Psychology with minors in Latin America/Caribbean studies, Victimology and Victim services, and Childhood studies. When she is on campus, you can find her either studying, working, or involved with a club on campus. The clubs include, but are not limited to, Stockton Volleyball Club, Student Senate, and Equestrian Club. She is currently the president of Stockton Volleyball and chief of staff for Student Senate. As a member of the Dean of Leadership Board for the Arts and Humanities at ΢ÃÜè, she hopes to advocate for all of the majors within so that they can all grow to become their best selves.
